RESEARCH INTERESTS Current primary research focus is in application of non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma discharges in biology and medicine. Plasma-medical are centered mostly around the mechanism of plasma sterilization and inactivation of various pathogenic organisms on human tissue without damage to this tissue, blood coagulation, wound healing, and treatment of various superficial skin diseases (i.e. Cutaneous Leishmaniasis, Melanoma skin cancer, and others).
