I grew up in the Boston area in a very large Italian family, with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, great aunts, you name it. All wonderful people. Two sisters, Maria and Gina.High school was easy for me. I never studied, or needed to, skipped at least two days a week, and still graduated with honors. College was a different story. I arrived not knowing a thing, not knowing how to study, and interested more in marijuana than anything else. I also didn't know how to be gay in my very straight, large, industrial dorm at Boston University. Though I was very sexually active earlier on, I was intimidated by this new college environment. Still, I found my way back to being the promiscuous person I'd always been within a couple of years.Sex, drugs and alcohol took center stage in my life and I floundered around a lot, from city to city and man to man. Eventually, I ended up in Los Angeles, landing a job at USC, where I found the Van Ness Recovery House and sobered up. That was 1988. A couple of years later, I opened my own business, The Zone Los Angeles, one of the best sex clubs there ever was, and I still own it today (though now with a business partner). I loved Los Angeles and still do, it's a wonderful place and I know dozens if not hundreds of wonderful people there. But around the age of 50 I became restless, and bored, as is my way, and I moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I had a boyfriend of about a year at the time, Christian, who moved with me. We are still together today here in Puerto Vallarta. I had purchased a large hacienda in the center of town which I thought would be a great place to live. I didn't like it for several reasons, none of them important, but thought it would make a great nightclub. So we moved out and remodeled it into Club Mañana, which is one of the best-known gay nightclubs in the world today. Owning it is a great deal of fun and I enjoy it immensely. I still have a lot of business ideas in my head and look forward to my next venture. Watch out.
