I started out as a mainframe computer programmer at Merrill Lynch in 1997. I worked as a programmer using mainly COBOL, JCL, and DB2 until 2007. During this time, I was also gaining experience in the realm of project management which helped me to transition into my current position. I am now working as a process and project lead. In regards to process, I am instrumental in creating and maintaining my organization's software engineering policies, process, procedures, roles, and templates. My goal is to help my organization to be assessed at CMMI Level 5. In regards to projects, I am now working as the project lead on one or more technology projects in my organization. I will continue to take PMI courses and hope to obtain PMP certification at some point. I am a very organized person who pays great attention to detail. I have also been trained as a Six Sigma Green Belt. I am part of my organization's Measurement and Analysis Team which is in place to gather and analyze organizational and project data in order to find the cause of defects and to reduce them by improving our process.
