William D. Shaw, Jr., became the Vice Chairman of the Company in May 2002. Since January 1, 2004 he has been employed by Mariner and is a member of its executive committee. He has been the managing member of Mariner LLC, an investment management company not directly affiliated with Mariner since 1999.
