As an Algonquin College public relations student, I am currently expanding my skills and knowledge of the areas associated with a career as a public relations professional. The education I am currently studying is helping prepare me for more practical public relations work and expand my skills in the fields related to it. My extensive sales experience has allowed me to become an expert in interacting with others. This skill is shown while working as a sales associate at Fossil. I look forward to work and meeting new customers who enter the store. My afternoons are also spent working at a local government office in the Social Security Tribunal office. With new procedures and programs to learn about each week, I am enjoying expanding my knowledge of the steps involved with filing an appeal with the federal government and increasing my experience working alongside others in an office environment. With over years of experience as a sales associate, experience in office environments, and skills in organizing team activities and events contribute to my growing abilities to work in the public relations field. While not working and doing school work, I enjoy spending time outside enjoying the environment and exploring the city. With so many new places to explore and discover, I always enjoy taking an afternoon to learn more about Ottawa. I am also very passionate about family and personal connections. From seeing firsthand accounts in my grandfathers retirement home on how beneficial human connections can be, I am in the process of being a friendly visitor for a local retirement home in Ottawa.
