I am a self motivated and self taught photographer currently enrolled at Humber College in public relations. Through my creativity, social networking, and my industrious nature, I will find new and innovative ways to explode into the entertainment and fashion industries by delivering it to the public through stories told through photographs. In high school I studied photography and instantly fell in love with it. It gave me a creative outlet to express my vision. A Bit more... In 2008 I met a good friend of mine, Vanessa Diab. Being a creative individual herself, she showed me that I could be successful in what I dreamed of and encouraged me to go back into photography. Together we worked on photo-shoots and started our own businesses. I started Catalyst in July of 2009, but have recently changed the name operating name to Oliver Roelofsen Photography. A few months ago I teamed up with fashion designer Cristofer Carrado. He shared his story and vision with me & again I became inspired. The hardships that he had to go through and trials of his life motivated & gave me strength. Together we created brilliant ad campaigns shots , custom photographs for his website, images of brand ambassadors for print and posters for hosting events at various entertainment venues across Toronto. There has been major progress and advancement in just a few months. I am now currently employing the skills and techniques I’m learning at Humber directly for both our companies. We plan on creating and devising innovative campaigns for Cristofer Carrado by combining photography to various viral, social, and direct marketing approaches. As we have just completed our soft launch in Toronto we are now scaling the globe next for Vancouver, Montreal, then the USA. This is just the beginning…
