I graduated from the Concordia Institute for Cooperative Education with an Honours degree (with distinction) in biochemistry. My thesis work was done through the Medical Genetics Department at McGill University. I have worked in the laboratories of Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis), at Phoenix Life Science (now MDS Pharma), and at the Montreal Biotechnology Research Institute. Since I have been working as a medical and science writer mainly within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. I am currently self-employed specializing in pharmaceutical advertising as well as writing for physicians and covering medical conferences and advisory boards. I teach medical writing at Concordia University and offer custom workshops on medical writing and medical information retrieval. In I worked with PAAB and AMWA to develop a series of hands-on PAAB workshops specifically for medical copywriters and editors. I am a member of the Quebec Writers' Federation (QWF), Professional Writers' Association of Canada (PWAC), the Canadian Science Writers' Association (CSWA), and the American Medical Writers' Association (AMWA) Canada Chapter.
