I teach theology and ethics at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. My research focuses on new technologies and their potential for human enhancement. My most recent book is Transhumanism and Transcendence Christian Hope in an Age of Technological Enhancement, from Georgetown University Press. My previous books include Design and Destiny Jewish and Christian Perspectives on Human Germline Modification (edited, published March by MIT Press).
