The Staff of Boulevard Animal Hospital is very excited to bring this community based veterinary facility to the neighborhoods of downtown Athens. We are pleased to provide a modern experience for both animals and their owners alike, which includes making patient visits as stress free as possible. We have separate dog and cat exam rooms and day boarding areas, and our staff is trained in low stress, positive reinforcement handling techniques. Dr. Howard has a strong belief that a well socialized and correctly trained pet is a much happier and healthier addition to the families that she works for! Dr. Howard completed a 6 month program in acupuncture many years ago, and offered this service to her equine patients while she worked for Covered Bridge Equine, a Watkinsville based mobile equine veterinary practice. She is hoping to extend this training to include small animals, to enable her to offer this wonderful adjuvant therapy to the dogs and cats of our new practice… it offers a great alternative to older patients with arthritis, intervertebral disk disease, and hip dysplasia!
