My internship and work experience is as follows: From July through November 2007, my internship with the Praeses LLC and Louisiana Center for Manufacturing Sciences, a non-profit consortium, based in Shreveport, Louisiana, gave me experience in communicating with people at different levels and in working with a project leader to complete assigned tasks. Since I was required to be on-site with my project leader, LCMS trusted me with traveling alone to locations and with a self-managed travel budget. My role as manufacturing engineering intern at Fibrebond Corporation of Minden, Louisiana, a precast concrete manufacturing facility, lasted from May to August 2008. My Fibrebond internship further assisted me in building my communication skills and in leading a team of production employees to complete a lean manufacturing based project. From December 2008 to March 2009, Fibrebond gave me the opportunity to do a part time internship in the warehouse and purchasing departments, where I built upon the experiences and relationships made during the previous summer to work on assigned projects. After graduation, Fibrebond has hired me as a warehouse tech while I continue my job search. As in all endeavors, I try to make a learning experience out of whatever situation I am placed. I have recently been hired as a quality engineer at Alliance Compressors. I'm looking forward to this new career path. Specialties computer troubleshooting, experience in process improvement
