I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I have always been artistically inclined and whenever I had a spare moment I would doodle and draw. During my time in Boy Scouts I had the opportunity to complete a career study at an advertising agency in Omaha. This experience helped me to establish my marketing and graphic design career goals. When I was on the verge of graduating high school I decided marketing would give me a much broader knowledge base to reach my goals. I attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha from -. During my time at UNO I was also able to polish my leadership skills through a Co-ed business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. I served two terms as vice-president and one term as president. I received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and a minor in Spanish. With a strong foundation in marketing, I felt prepared to apply these skills in the area of graphic design. I attended Metropolitan Community College shortly after my graduation from the UNO. In , while interviewing for an internship, I was offered and accepted a position as a graphic artist. While working this full time position, I continued working towards my associate degree in graphic design. Wright Printing, a very large family owned company in Omaha, has been my employer for the last two years. As the night lead graphic artist, I have expanded my understanding of graphic design and its part in the printing process. Working with this company has given me the opportunity to learn about the different steps involved in producing a quality product. This new knowledge enhanced my creative abilities as I completed my degree at MCC in . My strong work ethic, my drive to continually improve myself, and my ability to work with others are characteristics that make me a valuable employee. These qualities make me a qualified candidate for positions of leadership and responsibility.
