Senior-level Mechanical Engineer with nearly 10 years of diverse manufacturing, design and project management experience. In the early stages of my career I worked as a process engineer in high volume manufacturing of automotive engine and chassis components, automatic transmission gears and hypoid gears for rear differentials. Throughout this time I worked extensively in the design, development, testing and mass production roll out of cutting tool packages including, but not limited to, carbide, ceramic, pCBN and superabrasive grinding tools, as well as cutting tool workholding systems. In the latter portion of my career I shifted into my true passion - renewable energy. I am driven by design for cost, meaning designing to produce the best components by the most cost effective means for all parties involved - purchasing, manufacturing, project management and the end user. I truly believe that the sole existence of an engineer is to continue to learn, lead by example and to be socially responsible and ethical to serve mankind. I also believe that the path to new innovation starts with renewable energy and sustainability. However, with renewable energy and sustainability comes a responsibility by OEMs to not only ensure that they are conducting business in an ethical and sustainable way, but also trickling down these principles to their suppliers and their suppliers' suppliers.
