Tim joined GSP Consulting in 2009. As Grants Manager and Creative Director, Tim has the primary responsibility of identifying funding opportunities for GSP clients. With non-profit management experience, he works with clients to understand funding needs and quarterbacks grant efforts for clients at the federal, state and local levels. Tim has also developed social media for strategic GSP initiatives includingblogs, Twitter activities and complete Web solutions.Prior to joining GSP, Tim oversaw all aspects of marketing and communications efforts for the Pittsburgh Technology Council, focusing primarily on electronic media and strategic communications. In addition, he was responsible for project management of the Council’s new Web site, dedicated to highlighting membership benefits, member profiles, case studies, new products and added services. Strategic planning, brand development and marketing partnership relations were additional areas of Tim’s responsibility. While at the PTC, he developed other viral marketing media, including social marketing channels, blogsand interactive networking groups. His communication plan helped earn the Council the ASAE Gold Circle Award – Honorable Mention, in 2007, for electronic communications.As an active member of the community, Tim has served as Chairman of the Greater Pittsburgh Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Council Cub Scout Camping Committee. Also with the Boy Scouts, he developed key marketing campaigns, one of which was recognized with the President’s Award for Marketing Excellence. Tim has served on two national task forces for the Boy Scouts including Cub Scout Resident Camp Marketing and National Camp School Assessment of Day Camp Case Studies. He has also presented specific to these topics on a national level both as a marketing professional and as a Scouting volunteer. Tim is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow.Based upon his marketing expertise, Tim also serves on the Business Administration Advisory Committee for Pittsburgh Technical Instituteand on the Advisory Team for SponsorChange.org. Formerly, he has also served on the Sales & Marketing Network Advisory Board of the Pittsburgh Technology Council.Tim is a 2000 cum laude graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and minor in Society, Art and Science. He currently resides in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA.
