Michael Burton, aka M.I.C., Houston's newest and most anticipated hip hop recording artist has truly redefined the phrase "one-man band". Born in New Orleans, Louisiana later moving to Houston at age 3 he was exposed to an array of music genres. His grandfather, Morris Burton, a Lousiana music teacher and former jazz player for over 50 years introduced him to his first musical instrument, the clarinet. From middle school throughout his adulthood he continued to further his musical knowledge, becoming a self-taught guitarist and music producer in addition to writing R&B and rap music. Starting out in a high school rap group with his local friends he formed "Killatantrum". The group received local notoriety, but never quite reached the success level M.I.C wanted before disbanding in 2010. Going at it alone with the skill of making beats, engineering, writing, as well as editing and recording his own music videos, he truly can do it all, and quite well. His music, show presence and lyrical deliver is sure to put him in the ranks with the big names.
