Currently, Laura Rippy advises startup companies as they tackle the challenges of growth. At Zmags, Rippy leads the Board as the team continues their promising growth trajectory. For LightKeeper she helps the team as they prepare for launch. She is also on the Advisory Board of Inrix, the leader in predictive traffic information, Playrific, the safe digital playground for preschoolers, and oneforty, the social business hub. At InterNoded, Rippy led the repositioning of the company from a service to product business, in fundraising, and in its successful sale to Tangoe. Laura Rippy was CEO of Handango, the original app store. Under her leadership, Handango grew revenues to $38 million, achieved profitability, partnered with all the major leaders of the mobile world including Palm, Microsoft, Nokia, Motorola, ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, reached the Inc. 500, and received awards for the Best Place to Work. Prior to joining Handango, Rippy worked at Microsoft for 6+ years where she held a series of marketing and executive positions at three version 1.0 products, MSN HomeAdvisor, Sidewalk.com, and Kid’s Creativity. Lastly, for Microsoft's Dallas office, Rippy led strategic solutions sales of SQL Server and developer tools for Microsoft's enterprise customers. Laura Rippy holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in government from Dartmouth College.
