As a social media strategist, I develop digital and interactive strategies that fit within our clients' overall strategy. My father owned and operated a home remodeling business for over 30 years. He instilled in me the belief that there is a tool for every job. My digital toolbox includes: monitoring, planning, execution, responding quickly, planning and working within a budget, learning from my mistakes and not being afraid to make them. I believe that an effective digital strategist needs to wear many hats. Sometimes I'm a detective, monitoring conversations relevant to our clients on the social web. Sometimes I'm a mixed media artist, weaving a tapestry across social networks, blogs, and communities. And sometimes I'm an accountant and statistician, evaluating web analytics, SEM performance, and project budgets. My five-year-old and I are also the co-creators of "Show Me The Moose." The viral sensation, practiced by at least three preschoolers, involves counting to three, then holding your fingers up by your head like moose antlers. It's complicated.
