Adam J. Pierce (22) is a Filmmaker studying at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy Academy. He has a passion for film, including documentaries, features, music videos, and more. Pierce is in his second year at Tribeca Flashpoint and is on track to graduate in May of 2012. At a young age Pierce participated in numerous projects earning himself a plethora of titles. Some of his film credits include Director, Producer, Writer, Director of Photography, and Assistant Director. He recently Directed his first 3-min short for Tribeca Flashpoint entitled “Glory Boxâ€. Before coming to Tribeca Flashpoint, Pierce strived in the arts community. He organized underground music festivals in his rural hometown, sang for a number of local bands, was the go-to guy at the local video store, and threw sandwiches for Jimmy John’s. Adam has always been a "film buff", sometimes watching 3 or 4 movies a day in his younger days. He had a hunger to learn as much as he could. He never had any hi-tech movie making equipment growing up, instead he enjoyed hours in front of the screen analyzing classics such as “The Day The Earth Stood Stillâ€, “2001: A Space Odysseyâ€, or “Jackie Brownâ€. Pierce is the youngest of four children born to Joan Dubuis and Jerome Pierce. He graduated from Hononegah Community High School in Rockton, IL in May of 2007. Pierce is a fan of many types of films and is excited to explore the medium to it’s full potential.
