I am currently pursuing my Masters in Business Administration degree from the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. I plan to specialize in Finance to further supplement my background in the financial services and insurance industries. I am currently employed at CareWorks Consultants, Inc. (CCI) as a Rates Analyst. My job duties include analyzing workers’ compensation claims costs to produce the best financial outcome; preparing accurate rate analyses for clients; analyzing BWC groups & determining eligibility for prospective group clients, and working closely with other departments in regards to specific rates issues. Prior to that, I worked at Citigroup, Inc. as a mutual fund accountant, and interned at the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a Financial Representative. In June 2006, I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, and a Global Leadership Center (GLC) certificate. The two-year GLC program gave the opportunity to work on six different team-based projects. My favorite project involved developing a new consumer product for the Procter & Gamble, Inc. health-care line of products. The proposed product was one of superior quality and value that would improve the life of Hispanics in North America by offering a new and distinctive solution for oral care. This project also included the development of a marketing strategy, sales forecast, creating a prototype, and locating a production site. While at Ohio University, I had a chance to learn a great deal about Cardinal Health while I was enrolled in the Business Systems Fully Integrated Cluster. During this quarter-long series of courses, my team and I developed several recommendations to increase growth and market value for Cardinal Health. Our recommendations included the development of three new products, the acquisition of a smaller company, and the creation of a new strategic growth unit.
