Barbara J Gill is a literary and visual artist with a diverse, service-oriented background. She has committed to political, labour and human-rights activism most of her life. As a Canada/US full-service event planner in the eighties and nineties she was exposed to a multitude of sectors and divergent points of view. Barbara is a registered nurse by profession with experience in psychiatric and palliative settings. Barbara currently nurses part time in long-term care. She is mother to three and grandmother to one. She makes every effort to “walk the talkâ€. Barbara J Gill has been writing for half a century. She has her first poem - written at age five. Her journals date back to the age of ten. She was thirty-four when she set down a philosophy to help manage her own life. The seed of that philosophy grew for twenty years and is now published in Soul Gifts: The World’s Self Help Book and the companion book: Soul Rubbing Exercises: A Personal Vision Quest.
