MIG is a multi - dimensional private, family - owned investment group based in and operating almost exclusively in the Greater Madison area, Dane County, WI. Our most visible, actively managed investments are in commercial real estate, primarily Class A office in the Cities of Madison and Middleton, WI. People familiar with this area would likely recognize the M3 Insurance, Inacom, Landmark Place / WIPFLI, Sergenian's, Central Beltline Design Center, Arbor Gate Offices & Retail, or the State of Wisconsin Dept. of Corrections Admin Facility as City of Madison - MIG projects. In Middleton we work with FCI and have redeveloped the Thermo Noran Facility at 2551 Parmenter and Cornerstone Mall. MIG's total active and passive real estate portfolio currently exceeds 1M SF of space. We also engage in private equity investment and management (sharing various % ownership interests in companies like Gaming Informatics, Ideal Builders and Food Concepts). We also engage in philanthropy, either MIG-direct or through our private family-based charity, the Mortenson Family Foundation.
