Matthew McPeck, of Sicilian, German and Swedish descent, born in the Bay Area, raised from Lyonnese to Land's End.. died in the City Where The Stars Get Lost and risen from the grave circa 2007 with a desire to sail the seas and shake the booty. Troubadour for an audience of 1/2 for nearly ten lonely years, and before that lead vocalist of Beautiful Son, a late nineties independent pop band of modest succes s, in addition to other less imminent musical acts. Mr. McPeck, also a member of the production and songwriting duo Lawford & McPeck, is currently putting the finishing touches on his long gestating solo debut (with producers Stephen Lawford and Dan Marfisi) and hunting for talented rabblerousers and gypsies to form a magnificent live touring act. Matthew is combing the woods for an appropriate indie label to help him with said album, as well as management to help him promote it, so if you are up for the cause, drop us a love note, will ya? Matthew had a busy Summer '08, releasing his debut EP, the "HORIZON EP" digitally in June as well as a remixing the brilliant "Stunning" for trans icon/diva Calpernia Addams much to the enjoyment of her wonderful fans. His next release, "The Music Sounds Much Better When We're Dancing" (also available digitally) takes his single "Horizon" and romances it up on the platform of a euro-electro dance beat, adding some sizzling new lyrics and a killer hook to boot. All these treats are mere tasters in anticipation of Matthew's latest EP, "The Mountain", released December 1, 2008 in CD and digital formats. This 8-song collection contains his first performance as a singer of Lawford & McPeck compositions ("The Mountain", "Don't Let Go") as well as covers of memorable songs by Janet Jackson ("Miss You Much") and Concrete Blonde ("Joey"). 2009 was a banner year for Matthew. Always the bold re-interpreter of his own songs, Matthew released "Climb The Mountain: The Remixes EP" in January containing 4 unique remixes of his single "The Mountain" and his next release, the Pop Mix of "Mountain EP" track "Don't Let Go" took the song from rock anthem to electro-pop bliss, with an accompanying avant garde video to boot!Matthew happily returned to collaboration this year with his friend and fellow diva Calpernia Addams on the Pop Mix of her amazing single 'Next' from the soundtrack to the film "Transproofed" (considered by many of her fans to be the best song of her career to date), as well as Dj MaSound & Ali.i.a.n on the pulsating trance hit "Run". Matthew has now completed his debut album, which will be released under a storm of promotion in December 2009. Expect much from Matthew in the Winter of 2009-2010...a video for his new single (or two!) is coming soon!All along the way, expect Matthew to make the most of his Myspace by reaching on an individual level to his friends and fans via emails and comments (send them! he responds to everyone!), sharing free downloadable musical treats and/or exclusively streaming off beat covers (such as his psychadelic take on Britney's "Heaven On Earth" or his latest, the heartbreaking rendition of Pussycat Dolls' "I Hate This Part") and providing self-depricating reflections on the state of his blooming music career via his myspace blog.
