I am a musician, educator, advocate. At Hampshire, I majored in Ethnomusicology and became fascinated with the history of American music. After college, I opened the Sweet Music Studio to provide lessons, sales and service to the Pioneer Valley. Since then, I teach music to area students, direct the South Hadley Mandolin Orchestra and play music for weddings and private parties. I'm an expert in Ceilidh and Feis music, and enjoy playing for Irish Dancing. A multi-instrumentalist, I play fiddle with The Celtic Project (formerly Celticado), mandolin with The Americana Project (formerly Maple Ridge), and violin and bass with The Balkan Project (formerly Sweet Blend). I live in South Hadley with my wife and sons.
