I'm a former Chicagoan, having moved here in to care for my aunt, Mayme Harris Perry, who died from complications related to Alzheimer's disease in . I published a community paper called the South Side Scoop in Chicago for eight years before moving here. I publish the Durham Skywriter monthly (k circulation) and host Radio Skywriter on Saturdays, am, on WNCU.fm and wncu.org.
