My plan is to get together a smartphone development team consisting of a handful of code developers and a graphic artist to make citizen science applications (which will be free but ad-supported) with funding coming from grants to establish a meaningful portfolio. While not as profitable as the over-saturated game and entertainment market, I am confident that there are abundant funds available in the private and public sectors to fund educational and science based apps in a market that is very much lacking.
