In my free time, Im chief blogger and moderator for Locally Grown, a public affairscommunity blog in my hometown of Northfield, MN. Ive pretty much made my living online since , primarily building online communities, both topic- and geographic-based. I was project director for MIX, the McGraw-Hill Information Exchange for Teachers and Schools (-) and Utne Reader magazines Cafe Utne (-) which won a Webby Award for community in May, .
