The demand for news is higher than it's ever been. It's just the way people are getting that news that's changed. And I've got a few ideas about that. I'm experienced across a variety of media platforms (newspaper, radio, cable television news, network television news, magazine and -- of course -- the Web), passionate about journalism and optimistic about its future. I recently joined the digital desk at the Chicago Sun-Times as its digital editor for social media and engagement, fulfilling a lifelong dream to work for a major metropolitan newspaper. Previously, I covered education and managed the social media presence for The Courier-News, the Sun-Times Media publication in Elgin, Ill.
