With over eight years of international and intercultural experience, I have worked with international non-profit organizations, universities and businesses to create successful training, education and leadership programs for domestic and international audiences. With a background in experiential learning, workshop design and international education, I am eager to help students, organizations and institutions increase their intercultural competence and become successful leaders in their respective communities. I have presented to university faculty, staff and students on issues concerning culture in the classroom to increase effective communication and interaction among diverse groups. In addition to working in intercultural education, I have experience in career advising and coaching, assisting both international and domestic students. Collaborating with university-based career services offices, I have trained students and staff on digital media and communications to leverage their online presence for the purpose of career development. I earned my Masters in Education at the University of Pennsylvania where I focused on training design, adult education and intercultural communication to be able to train others to operate effectively across languages and cultures in an increasingly globally connected world. I have experience working, living and studying in over six countries, including an overseas assignment at a foreign university in Chile as a Fulbright Scholar where I taught English language and culture courses. With over three years experience in Latin America, I speak Portuguese and Spanish. When I am not working, I enjoy learning languages, traveling and capturing my adventures using digital media and photography.
