I joined the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) as its Executive Director in and was named President and CEO in . In leading the ABTA, I have applied both my passion for bringing transformational leadership to complex mission-driven organizations and experience gained from holding increasingly senior positions in nonprofit strategic arketing and management. In , the ABTA began implementing recommendations of a five year Strategic Growth Initiative. With key milestones met by June , the effort was further enhanced with a three year Mission Advancement Strategy. Thus far, program outcomes and other performance indicators are all positive -- including steadily increasing annual revenues. Even in an environment of extreme economic uncertainty, this year ABTA's revenues surpassed the million mark for the first time in its year history. Prior to joining the ABTA, I held management positions with the National Safety Council, Alzheimers Association, Loyola University Chicago and American Hospital Association. I have a Master's in Nonprofit Administration (MNA), graduate certificates in Executive Management and in Nonprofit Management and Administration, and am a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business. Professional memberships include Association Forum, Association for Fundraising Professionals, and American Marketing Association.
