Cheryl Taylor lives in Avenal, Ca. She grew up in Pacific Grove and attended PG high, but never graduated. Having no formal education, she did get a GED in the s to apply for a federal job. She is an avid reader and her favorite authors are Dean Koontz and Robin Cook. She worked as a waitress on the Monterey Peninsula before finding her true passion, computers. While on a school field trip with her kids to a printing press, she fell in love with the whole process of producing a newspaper and got a job at the King City Rustler working as a typesetter and darkroom tech. In she started her own business, the Avenal Chimes. It was adjudicated as a newspaper of general circulation in . The paper is now published by Cheryl's oldest daughter, Heather. Cheryl now has more time for the other loves in life writing, watercolor painting, and photography.
