My topic of expertise is sex discrimination, particularly gender-based violence and harassment in public spaces. After working full-time for women's nonprofit organizations for eight years, I became an independent consultant in May and now juggle several rewarding part-time jobs. I am an international consultant for UN Women's Safe Cities Global Initiative. I am a part-time facilitator with The OpEd Project. I am the part-time communications manager for One World Education I teach a course at George Mason University as an adjunct professor. A leader in the anti-street harassment movement, I also run the nonprofit Stop Street Harassment, which I founded as a website in and turned into a (c)() organization in . Since authoring Stop Street Harassment Making Public Places Safe and Welcoming for Women (Praeger ), I've given more than talks, interviews and written nearly articles on the topic. I've also testified before the NYC, D.C. and Philadelphia City Councils and presented at numerous conferences, including an international conference on women's safety in India, the National Sexual Assault Conference, and the National Women's Studies Association Conference.
