With over eight years of experience in the communications field, I enjoy connecting people, ideas and messages. I am a talented writer and my ability to put thoughts and words on paper is what led to my first opportunity in the PR industry. Nothing is more rewarding to me than telling an organizations story and pitching that story to the media so the message can reach a greater audience. I recently made the transition into agency PR, joining the KCD Public Relations team as an account executive in March. Prior to starting at KCD PR, I spent five years at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I worked as a Media Relations Assistant and then as an Assistant Media Relations Director. In July of I was named Associate Athletics Director for Sports Information at UC San Diego, where I oversaw the departments PRmedia relations efforts, managed website content and coordinated the planning of all home athletic events. My specialties include public relations strategic communications media relations marketing and branding social media and online engagement writing website maintenance project management graphic design and desktop publishing event planning.
