My motivation to study and work with educational technology extends further than my basic interest in computers and education. For me the use of technology in education provides an opportunity for both innovation and creativity in the provision of solutions. It is exciting to work with stakeholders, to guide their planning and to implement solutions that meet their needs. To investigate emerging information technologies, their implications for our society and its economy, and the potential of these technologies to enhance the teachinglearning process is truly rewarding. I have over years of experience working in the design, construction and management of technology in the areas of voice, video, data and information systems. Additionally, as the parent of a child on the Autism Spectrum (Asperger Syndrome), I understand how to effectively use and incorporate adaptiveassistive technology into the classroom and how to utilize technology to differentiate and individualize instruction.
