After a dozen years working in corporate television and multimedia production (in the '70s and '80s, when  "Multimedia" really meant using many different media), I joined the Communications faculty at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio. In addition to teaching production, Church and Media, PR, etc., I've produced television programs for Catholic cable networks and a variety of special projects. And for 23 years I handled video and media support for Franciscan University's summer conferences.Even though I occasionally wish I could jump off the roller coaster and just teach "The History of Broadcasting 1920-2000", I'm passionate about learning and using New Media, especially by and for the Catholic Church, health care, and social causes.Since a good friend was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Disease (FTD) in 2009, I've been helping her and others find out more about this "orphan" disease and set up a blog so she can tell her story about living with FTD: "Vicki's Voice" at vickisvoice.tv .I've also been helping with postproduction and distribution of "Planning for Hope", a documentary about FTD which has aired on dozens of Public Television stations this year. FTDPlanningForHope.com
