I owe it all to two guys named Steve. The Apple was the first computer that long ago helped me to learn about computer hardware and programming. Now some years later, what began with that simple technology has grown complex enough to provide me a livelihood and interesting work to do every day. I am a technology professional specializing in the implementation of virtual computing platforms using VMware and Microsoft Windows Server technology. The efficiency that can be gained by virtualizing the hardware layer and providing need-based resource pools allows companies to make the most of their technology expenditures. I also enjoy passing along what I have learned to more junior members of the teams I am fortunate to work with. Focusing on the fundamentals of computer networking is a fun and useful exercise that teaches more effective troubleshooting and quicker problem resolution. Ultimately, this means that I am a habitual problem solver, always seeking to identify problems and seek effective solutions.
