I received my Ph.D. in Spanish literature from Vanderbilt University in May . After spending a year working in Web design and technical proposal development, I began working for the Nashville Symphony in July . As a Nashville native and lifelong fan of the Nashville Symphony, I frequently walk around our offices astonished that I work for the orchestra that held such a strong place in my imagination as a child. As Grants and Research Manager, my work supports our artistic mission and music education initiatives. In addition to writing proposals about our artistic operations and community engagement programs, I manage research projects to provide the organization with pertinent, up-to-date information to use in decision making and company-wide messaging.
