Also known as: jdonliturgy

My love affair with computers started in front of a PLATO terminal as a student tester in 1973 at the University of Illinois. I have never met a Windows-based computer that could outsmart me -  I'm the person at work others ask to help them figure out their software. I also maintain our office webpage.  Our IT department considers me one of the "smart" users. I get privileges. I spend lots of time on G+ connecting and meeting new people and generally sharing life, beauty and all things weird and wonderful. I am an information junkie at heart.  What do I share?MUSIC: As a musician and lifelong music lover (I once spent 10 years as the classical concert reviewer for a large newspaper), I love almost all kinds of music, although I have definite tastes. These run from 60's-70's roots rock, blues and folk, to classical, to jazz, to British folk rock, to Celtic New Age  and Renaissance rock. (Never too old to rock n' roll!) I am actively on Spotify and share tunes sometimes in the evening. If you want to be in that circle, ask me.NERDY STUFF, SCI-FI & FANTASY:  If it's anything to do with Doctor Who, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings or Asimov, I'm all over it. (Favorite movie of all time: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.)CATHOLIC STUFF: As a Catholic liturgist, catechist and blogger, I also share about Catholic faith and use of social media for evangelization - with my Catholic circle ONLY... to which I will add you if it appears appropriate - or if you ask.ART, ANTIQUES, VINTAGE: I am an avid collector of anything Art Deco, vintage art pottery and jewelry, anything 1950's-60's, and vintage illustration art. I design my own beaded and recycled jewelry. I also love all things visual - art, photographs, anything retro, creative or quirky.WORDS, BOOKS, LITERARY STUFF: I was also an English major (concentration in Milton and the 17th Century Metaphysical Poets). I also taught freshman rhetoric, poetry, drama and fiction classes for 3 years. Now, I write articles for my office newsletter and my blog.HUMOR: Watch out - I am not nearly as tame as I look... the sense of humor sometimes has a  few teeth!  When you reach "a certain age" there isn't much left to lose, so I will sometimes say exactly what I am thinking...and I love friends with a good sense of humor.  Just be nice. Not much to ask, is it?
