Interested in Global RD and Business Development position Dr. Julio Guerrero, as a Principal Research Scientist at Schlumberger Research (SLB), established almost research collaborations with MIT and WHOI in robotics for subsea and land oil operations. Since , he has done research with several MIT professors and WHOI researchers, and students on projects for SLB, taught one engineering course every spring at MIT, and has been member of doctoral committees at MIT and UT Austin. Julio obtained the Masters and Doctoral degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (UT Robotics Group) in and . Previously, he worked years for FIAT in Turin-Italy, and worked as an engineer in Lima-Peru several years. He has been the leader of the SLBEureka Mechanical Engineering community ( members) for consecutive years in continents and almost all SLB engineering centers. Julio represented SLB in the UT-Austin Dean Visiting Committee (DVC) for years until , and he was ASME IAB Vice-Chairman. He is ASME Governor elect. He swims every day, skis in Vermont, surfs on summer weekends, and likes reading and discussing about world history and economics.
