I've been in Greensboro, NC almost 20 years now. While I always love to visit new places, I enjoy living here. I love driving by the hospital where my kids were born, the churches where they were christened, the scale of life here.I've been a journalist since I was in my single digits, typing "stories" on dad's typewriter in the basement long before I could spell. It's been a great career, the kind of job I love going to every day. How many people can say that?Yes, my industry, my company, my job is undergoing huge disruption. No media company (newspaper, TV station, radio channel) can afford to do things tomorrow the way they did them yesterday. Now being on the digital side of this business, I relish the challenge of figuring out where to go and how to get there.The going is slow, and full of trial and error; every day seems to feel like time in a maze. But the journey is where the learning -- the fun -- occurs.Â
