Mr. Ortega, a technologist by nature and entrepreneur by heart, has over seventeen years of experience in Technology in Latin and North America. He began his professional career with Schlumberger Oilfield Services in cybersecurity, later transitioning as ICIMS Project Manager for heavy oil projects in the Orinoco Belt, joint ventures Management with ExxonMobil, Japanese Gas Corporation and Jantesa in Venezuela. Mr. Ortega joined Texas Wesleyan University as IT Director and later became Chief Technology Officer ensuring strategic direction of the software and hardware infrastructure. Mr. Ortega founded an IT Security Consultancy and a boutique mobile software development firm. He recently became Vice President of Systems Engineering at OmniAmerican Bank, where he has been honored with the MVP award for two consecutive years.
