Kia Charles is a young dance artist in the New York City area. Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, Kia has received formal dance training from UNC School of the Arts, UNC-Greensboro, the Ailey School, and most recently Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre. Specializing in Hip-Hop and Contemporary choreography, Kia is also skilled in Ballet, Horton, West African, and Jazz. Kia Charles aspires to use dance and performance as a platform to educate the youth about art as therapy and ways that the arts can influence a community.
