Karen Murphy lives the life of a working parent. She is the mother of four daughters the wife of a working father and in her career reached a VP level at a Fortune company. She is a freelance writer and speaks at corporations, universities, trade associations, and civic clubs. She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering and has an MBA. Karen worked in the chemical industry for years in Research, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Business Management and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS). She travelled internationally throughout Europe, South America, India and Asia. She held the position of VP of EHS and was the Management Representative on the Ashland Inc. Board of Directors EHS Committee for years. Karen consults with top EHS officers and is available for board positions where her unique background in EHS risk management, operations and PL experience provides value.
