I am a self taught software enthusiast who has a specific focus on unix based hosted software systems. As a teenager I learned that understanding web software would present an extraordinary marketing asset for my small event coordination business. You could say my love of software ultimately came as a symtom of my incurable desire to be a successful entrepreneur. Since day one I've continually crafted idea after idea looking for viable businesses on the internet. All along the way I have been perfecting my skills as a entrepreneur first and a software enthusiast second. In late I founded AppLabz which I bootstrapped to profitability by the end of . It has remained profitable to date. The success of this business lead me to start my second business Retsly which is an API for the real estate industry. I make technology choices based on business decisions and have a somewhat idealist mentality when it comes to my preference to only use open software. I adopted the "Hacker" mentality at a young age and feel that for software to be valuable you need to be able to open the hood and poke around.
