Born in Pensacola, Fl. as Michael Ward, Legacy the lyrical prophet began singing in choirs at a young age in church. As he grew older, a personal tragedy diverted his life style to one on the street with drug dealers and dope boys. After beginning to rhyme on the blocks and house parties, he began to gain respect as one the most skilled in his ethnic race. It was then that God pulled him to his knees in repentance and he vowed to use his vocal and lyrical skills for the Kingdom of God exclusively. Soon after this commitment, Legacy lost his father to cancer. Although this was a devastating blow, he remembered his father's teachings of the Word of God and he continued on that path. It was here that he picked up his father's "mantle" to carry on his "legacy". This is when Michael Ward officially became "Legacy the lyrical prophet" and has uplifted the name of Jesus Christ from that time on.
