I am a children's book author of more than 70 works, including nonfiction picture books, early chapter books, graphic novels, and YA self-help and biography. I am currently working on a YA historical novel and a humorous picture book. I also run a freelance writing and editing business, which I launched in 2002 after a decade as an in-house editor. I specialize in creating books, articles, and supplemental curriculum materials for the children's trade and K–12 education markets.Professional affiliations include SCBWI, Authors Guild, PNWA, and Editorial Freelancers Association, for whom I serve as education chair on its Board of Governors.
