Bert is a Senior Architect with BlueMetal Architects focused on SharePoint, cloud, mobile and search solutions. He is recognized as one of fewer than Microsoft Certified Masters (MCM) for SharePoint worldwide and recently completed the SharePoint Certified Master class. Bert applies thirteen years of experience working with clients across myriad industries. He has successfully led diverse teams to build information management, process management, web, and enterprise search solutions. In addition to being an MCM, Bert holds several Microsoft Professional Developer credentials and is a certified PMP. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BS in Computer Science. Bert is deeply active in the technical community through writing and speaking at multiple industry events per year. He has created several open source projects, including the OpaqueMail .NET library. In addition to consulting, Bert recently founded Bkip, a startup focused on "personal cloud", enterprise search, and content management software.
