I have more than 20 years’ experience as an executive, technologist, and investor in the computer industry. I authored the highly acclaimed social aggregator Scrapplet, social network site Zude, Web 2.0 browser library xWinLib, and co-wrote the open5G open source programming language/web server/object database. My efforts have received numerous awards and recognition, and have been featured in publications and online sites including PC World, PC Magazine, eWeek, Information Week, CNET, ZDNET, TechCrunch, ReadWriteWeb, and more. I currently sit on the Board of Directors of the International non-profit Data Portability organization (am 2011 Chairman too), am a member of the OpenAjax Alliance, and the Open Web Foundation. I frequently speak on topics related to startups, finance, advanced technology, Web 2.0, open source, and data portability, and have published a number of articles in technology-related publications.
