For the past years, I've had the honor of weaving words into magazine articles, blog posts and editorial content that people seem to enjoy reading. Once upon a time, I was a kid filling spiral-bound notebooks with the fantastic stories in my mind. Since then, my work has appeared in more than print and online publications including Essence, Ebony, Vibe, Clutch, The Huffington Post, Yahoo, Uptown, Heart Soul, The Root, The Grio, Jezebel, xojane and The Stir. I'm living that little girl's dream, and my love for the craft is evident in everything I write for freelance assignments and clients of The Write or Die Chick, my boutique editorial services agency. I'm passionate about women's and African-American issues and I write about them often, but I also cover topics including relationships, culture and entertainment. I'm diligent about research, reporting and interviewing, but I promise to never, ever write a boring sentence. Ever.
