James Drew is a 22-year-old journalism student at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. He has lived on the Coast his whole life, mostly on a small farm in Kureelpa.James joined the Army Reserves as an Infantry Soldier after high school. He has been a member of Yandina's Alpha Company 9RQR ever since.James initially pursued a career as an aircraft electrician, but after doing part-time work in a photo lab he decided to take up a career as a photojournalist. He hopes to someday be embedded in a conflict zone to help the public better understand the real story.
