LinkedIn is my favorite social media platform, followed by Twitter. LinkedIn provides opportunities for professional networking that are unparalleled in the social media space. As Corporate Media Specialist for DP Professionals, I engage in a wide variety of social media activities and strategies, including blogging, commenting, bookmarking, etc. I provide training to the DP Professionals staff in using social media for recruiting IT professionals, business development and corporate branding. I enhance traditional advertising with social media marketing techniques. I also provide customized training on LinkedIn to small and medium businesses for DP Professionals. Prior to working in social media full time, I was a systems librarian and bona fide library geek. Those library skills do transfer, and I use them every day. Specialties Developing new initiatives related to technology to improve access to information creating an environment that fosters innovation finding things research writing.
