Dan French serves in Dutchess County as Supervisor of the Town of Beekman. Dan has proudly served Beekman as Town Supervisor and Town Councilman since January 2005. He is the son of Jack and Carolyn French. Dan has lived in Beekman since he was seven years old. His father was a union painter who decided to move to the Hudson Valley for a chance to provide a better life for his children. His father, Jack, was a long time Beekman Recreation Commissioner, Beekman youth soccer and little league coach, soccer referee and baseball umpire. The Town of Beekman posthumously honored Jack as the first inductee into the Jack French Beekman Recreation Memorial Hall of Fame.Dan attended Beekman Elementary School, and graduated from Arlington High School in 1999. He played soccer for the Arlington Admirals.He attended Beekman Elementary School, and graduated from Arlington High School in 1999.He is a 2003 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Binghamton University with a BA in History and membership in several National Honor Societies.In May 2006, he received a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Local Government Management from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, State University of New York at Albany. Rockefeller College is one of the top Universities in this field in the entire United States.
